Thai Basil Beef

Everyone is looking for that ground beef recipe that adds flavour without a bunch of salt or processed foods. This new go-to recipe is Paleo, Whole30 and can be made with beef, turkey, chicken or pork!

Serves 4 | Gluten free

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 lb 95% lean ground beef, lean
  • 2 cups Asparagus (Chopped)
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, fresh
  • 4 Scallions
  • 1/4 cup Thai basil (chopped fine)
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce, low sodium

  • Instructions
    1. Add the beef to a hot nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Brown and break up the larger chunks as you go until no longer pink.
    2. Add in the garlic, ginger, green onions, and asparagus. Cook until the asparagus is just tender, about 3-4 minutes.
    3. Add the soy sauce, chilli paste, and basil. Cook for 30 seconds and remove from heat. Taste and season as needed with additional soy or chilli sauce.

    Serve with Basmati rice or Cauliflower rice and enjoy!!
